If you have not heard this album, you have either been hiding under a rock or you are deaf! Don't worry if you haven't heard it yet, YUMMY YUM YUM is going to put you D! This is the fourth album from the Louis Vutton Don himself, Kanye West and it might be his best yet! For all the hardcore Kanye fans, this is him in his rawest form. Stripped down and emotionally bare.
The majority of the songs on the album are recorded using the auto-tune to manipulate West's voice. (Think T-Pain)
The album was released November 24, 2008 on Roc-A-Fella Records. Just in time for the holidays you guys. The first singles off of the LP are, "Love Lockdown," and "Heartless" Both songs deal with love and love lost. Armed with a deliciously funky beat and emotionally charged lyrics these songs have landed at number 1 on the Billboard charts.
After his third album, Graduation, West's life was flipped upside down. West's mother Donda West died due to complications from cosmetic surgery. This was a major blow for he star. A few months later his fiancée, Alexis Phifer, and him went their separate ways. It was a hard year for Mr. West. "This album was therapeutic — it's lonely at the top," West says.
Any true Kanye fan will have this on their wish list this holiday season.
